CONCEPTI have a great love for / interest in everything relating to pregnancy and babies. That’s why a few years ago, I decided to get an education in post-partum care (kraamzorg) and combine this with my photography work. I’m doing my internship as we speak, and will hopefully be practicing solo by 2026. Of course, care-giving aside, this period of pregnancy and birth lends itself greatly to photography too:

Having a child is one of the big wonders of life, so of course you want it documented well. Whether it’s a pregnancy shoot, documentation of the birth, newborn photos or a classic family portrait - I do it all! Like with my other work, I take a more intimate, documentary approach.
BATHTUB SHOOT When doing pregnancy shoots, my personal staple is a candle-lit shoot in the bathtub. Considering you can’t take a bath for at least 6 weeks after birth, this is just another reason to take one, and it’s a great way to get some relaxed photos of your beautiful pregnant body.
